Follow the method
- 01
Park in shade and let the bodywork and wheels cool. Prepare separate tools for wheels and paint.
Why: Cool surfaces give more working time, and separate tools reduce transfer of wheel dirt.
- 02
Choose CitrusClean for routine bucket washing, or a label-approved Alkclean method when heavier traffic film needs cleaning.
Why: Cleaning strength should match the contamination.
- 03
Measure the dilution on the exact bottle for the equipment in use. Do not combine shampoo concentrates.
Why: Formulas and equipment differ; foam quantity alone does not show dilution.
- 04
Rinse loose dirt away before contact. Wash from the upper panels down using a clean shampoo-loaded mitt and light pressure.
Why: Removing loose grit and working systematically helps limit rubbing contamination across the paint.
- 05
Rinse the mitt frequently in separate clean water and reload shampoo. Set aside tools that fall on the ground.
Why: Fresh working surfaces reduce contamination.
- 06
Rinse all shampoo away before it dries. Proceed to gentle drying, or keep a clean panel wet for the Bio Nano routine.
Why: Dried residue complicates finishing, and the next product determines the wet or dry route.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Dry wiping dusty paint.
- Using a wheel tool on bodywork.
- Pressing harder with a dirty mitt.
- Assuming more foam means better cleaning.
- Using CitrusClean as snow foam without exact-bottle confirmation.
Put it into practice
A practical activity
Lay out separate wheel and paint tools and rehearse the wash sequence before starting.
Check your result
No shampoo residue remains and the mitt and towels are free of grit.
Explain it in your own words
How will you keep grit from moving between the mitt and the paint?
