LESSON 06 · Beginner · 10 MIN

Clean interior surfaces gently

Use Cleanse and damp cloths on compatible surfaces, with Smart Scrub only where needed.

Follow the method

  1. 01

Vacuum loose dirt and inspect the material and finish. Check the vehicle or surface care instructions.

Why: Delicate or damaged materials may need a specialist method.

  2. 02

Test the cleaner and any scrubber in an inconspicuous area and inspect after drying.

Why: A test can reveal colour or finish changes.

  3. 03

Lightly dampen a clean cloth and apply Cleanse to it. Wipe one small compatible area gently.

Why: Applying through the cloth helps control liquid.

  4. 04

Use a lightly damp Smart Scrub only on a suitable surface when textured dirt needs gentle agitation.

Why: A scrubber is an optional step, not a reason to press harder.

  5. 05

Collect loosened dirt and residue with a separate damp cloth, then dry with a clean T2.

Why: Removing residue completes the cleaning process.

  6. 06

Keep liquid away from electronics, seams and perforations. Use the vehicle maker's method for screens and delicate finishes.

Why: These areas may not suit an ordinary interior-cleaning routine.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating Cleanse as a leather lotion.
  • Spraying directly onto switches or displays.
  • Using Cleanse on Alcantara.
  • Promising that ink or every stain will be removed.

Put it into practice

A practical activity

Identify a compatible test area and describe the damp-cloth, residue-removal and drying sequence.

Check your result

The compatible surface is clean and dry with no cleaner residue or finish change.

Explain it in your own words

Why do you control liquid and test the finish before cleaning a larger area?

Optional learning check

Try one question

Does Cleanse moisturise or condition leather?
