Follow the method
- 01
Identify the surface and finish, what was applied, and whether the mark appeared immediately afterward.
Why: Timing and product history help choose a first check, but do not prove a diagnosis.
- 02
Let the surface cool and remove loose dirt with an appropriate gentle wash before wiping a mark.
Why: Rubbing dirt or working hot panels can make the result worse.
- 03
For fresh Graphene Seal residue on suitable clean, cool paint, wipe gently with a lightly damp T2 and immediately buff with a clean dry T2. Do not add more product.
Why: Removing or evening out excess residue is the first supported correction step.
- 04
If water marks or haze persist after gentle cleaning, stop and inspect in good light.
Why: Deposits and etched damage require different treatment; maintenance sprays do not correct etched stains.
- 05
On glass, confirm whether the mark is inside or outside and whether film or protection is present before discussing abrasives.
Why: Clarity is restricted to suitable unfilmed exterior glass and can remove existing glass protection.
- 06
If the cause or compatibility remains uncertain, ask for the exact guide or a professional assessment.
Why: A photo alone cannot confirm etching, coating failure or the right abrasive method.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Adding more Graphene Seal to fix fresh haze.
- Using clay or polish on every visible spot.
- Using Clarity on mirrors, tint, films or interior glass.
- Claiming a photograph confirms the cause of a mark.
Put it into practice
A practical activity
Use a clean practice panel only if available and compatible. Identify the two cloths and describe the fresh-residue method before touching the panel.
Check your result
The learner can explain the supported first step and when further treatment should stop.
Explain it in your own words
What would make you stop wiping and request an assessment instead?
